Wyre Forest Company of Archers once again hosted the CWAA county championship in August 2017. Archers competed at various distances and several awards were won by WFCA club members.

Congratulations to all WFCA archers who shot, helped or supported the shoot at Redhill Archers yesterday. The weather was a bit changeable, but a great time was had by all.

The January Challenge results have been issued on the Archery GB website today. Well done to all of the WFCA members that took part.
Wyre Forest again hosted a successful and well-attended open Portsmouth tournament on 12th February, this year at a new venue, the newly built Silverwoods Leisure Centre complex in Kidderminster. Congratulations to WFCA archers Lindsey and Heike for their wins in the ladies compound and U12 girls recurve categories.
Quantum Archers recently hosted the Warwickshire Senior Championship and West Midlands Junior Championship in Handsworth, Birmingham.
In the CWAA senior competition, Karen McKay won the open ladies recurve category, taking home a gold medal.
In the WMAS junior competition, Freya Palmer was crowned girls recurve champion for 2017 and also won the U16 girls recurve category, Lauren Turner won the U14 girls recurve, Heike Palmer won the U12 girls recurve, Kurtis Dearn won the U14 boys recurve. Also shooting was Jasmine Simpson in the U16 girls recurve. Our juniors also won the team award with a lead of 189 points.

A huge congratulations to WFCA archer Jasmine Simspon for becoming the Junior Lady Barebow National Champion at the National Clout Championship 2016 held in Bradford. She shot a double 1 way clout round at 100 yards with a winning score of 195.
